Flint’s Woodshop is a one-person shop, so the person answering the phone is the person who will build your piece. No sales desk, no ticket queue. Messages sent during the working day are usually answered the same day, and evenings and weekends by the next morning.

Asking about a custom piece

The more you can tell me the faster I can quote it. Useful things to include: roughly what size, what it is for, any wood you have in mind, a deadline if you have one, and a photo or sketch if you have one. If it is an engraving, send the names, dates or artwork you want on it. If it is not something I am the right shop for, I will tell you honestly rather than take the job.

Where the shop is

The shop is in Washington Township, in Macomb County, Michigan, just north of Detroit. Finished boards and custom work ship anywhere in the United States. If you are local, you are welcome to arrange pickup and see the piece in person before you take it home.

Hardwood cremation urns and pet urns are handled through Laser Engraved Urns, a specialized division of Flint’s Woodshop.
